King Kurt – Destination Zulu Land
Okay, now we’re in familiar territory. All of these tracks in ‘Listen to’ I’d heard before with the exception of “Destination Zulu Land”, which is a rip snorting stomper. Great drums on it and nice to hear punk surviving into the Eighties. The rest are legendary songs. It could be an age thing but if you’ve been to at least one wedding, you’ll have done the Safety Dance or had your fun Aunt drag you on the floor for “It’s Raining Men”. I’m grateful that these classics are remember and not the horribly misogynistic “What Are We Gonna Get ‘Er Indoors”. It’s simply not a Christmas song anyone needs.
