My name is Greg. In 2024, I started making a playlist of one hit wonders. I knew of a few off the top of my head but delved into the internet anyway to try and curate a selection from other’s lists. As I started to search, there was not a definitive catalogue and the more sites I visited the more outrageous picks I saw. It felt like just because the authors could only think of one song by said artist, that must mean they only had the one hit.
And that annoyed me.
So, in an effort to set the record* straight, whilst also endeavouring to find out which is the best; here is my best effort to produce a directory of every One Hit Wonder to ever grace the UK Charts. I have used the website officialcharts.com/charts/ in order to collect the data and present it to you, the pop picking public, here.
