The Jags – Back Of My Hand
Gun to my head, backed into a corner and arm twisted, I would tell you that the greatest One Hit Wonder of all time is “My Sharona” by The Knack. Pound for pound, I just don’t think there is a better song. It’s ripping second guitar solo, the excellent bass tone, the drum work, the crescendoing ohhhs. Per. Fect. Tion. 28 years into the UK Charts and I’m pretty sure I’ve found what I set out to discover. However, there is still another four decades to go. Can any other song reach these heights? I don’t know. But I’m excited to find out.
